Coral Sashimi

Rouged faces, jeweled mirrors, coral stands; green-latticed doors, silver-reed pipes, mica fans.

The theme of this treasure auction is pearls and a hundred treasures, and this is one of the dishes served to honored guests. It is named for coral, but it is really raw fish sliced paper-thin and arranged in the shape of coral. Truly extravagant.
