Mudskipper

Commonly known as the Jumping Fish or Mud Monkey. Partaking of the nature of both fish and shrimp, it possesses a remarkable gill chamber that can store water for breathing, allowing it to survive several days out of water and to walk on the ground with its two fins. In every mudflat where salt and fresh waters meet, its kind may be found. Of old, there was a saying that fish may transform into dragons. And indeed, this creature dwells between water and land, leaping and striding like a beast. Truly it is a wonder of creation.
